چکیده

The TIGER system is in continuous use on 20 gas turbines across four continents. Continuously performing fault diagnosis of industrial gas turbines used for power generation. TIGER receives several hundred data inputs at a once per second interval and performs several layers of fault detection and diagnosis using expert system techniques in a temporal reasoning rulebase. Development of the system has now extended for more than six years and more than 80 man-years. The diagnostics are supported by an extensive user interface, data archive, trending and display system. Across the 20 current locations, TIGER has helped to identify and diagnose over 700 incidents representing 200 different fault categories. Because of the high value of gas turbines and the high expenses in operating them, TIGER's benefit is considerable and has been documented at $150,000 or more for most of the locations.

Model-based Approach for Multi-sensor Fault Identification in Power Plant Gas Turbines

In this paper, ‎the multi-sensor fault diagnosis in the exhaust temperature sensors of a V94.2 heavy duty gas turbine is presented‎. ‎A Laguerre network-based fuzzy modeling approach is presented to predict the output temperature of the gas turbine for sensor fault diagnosis‎. Due to the nonlinear dynamics of the gas turbine, in these models the Laguerre filter parts are related to the linear d...

TIGER: Knowledge Based Gas Turbine Condition Monitoring

Given the critical nature of gas turbines in most industrial plants, their availability is of prime importance. Associated maintenance costs can also be extremely high and hence, it is a high priority to find ways of reducing maintenance costs and increasing the availability of the gas turbine. Routine preventative maintenance techniques have been used for many years to minimise major problems ...

Online Fault Detection and Isolation Method Based on Belief Rule Base for Industrial Gas Turbines

Real time and accurate fault detection has attracted an increasing attention with a growing demand for higher operational efficiency and safety of industrial gas turbines as complex engineering systems. Current methods based on condition monitoring data have drawbacks in using both expert knowledge and quantitative information for detecting faults. On account of this reason, this paper proposes...

Optimization and increase production and efficiency of gas turbines GE-F9 using Media evaporative cooler in Fars combined cycle power plant

Gas turbines play an important role in supplying power for the country especially in peak electricity load. The main disadvantages are the turbines, they produce large changes are a result of climate change. However, in times of peak electricity grid and at the same time warm months, can produce gas turbines under the effect of ambient temperature, the amount of reduced considerably. The method...

Process Diagnosis System (PDS) - A 30 Year History

PDS (Process Diagnosis System) is an expert system shell developed in the early 1980's. It could handle thousands of sensor inputs and produce thousands of diagnostic messages with confidence factors based on complex logic designed to mimic the thinking of human experts. PDS went into commercial operation in 1985 to monitor seven power plant generators from a centralized diagnostic center at We...
